DIRECTOR OF CATERING SALES
Dish is seeking a Director of Catering Sales to lead and manage our sales team in selling and planning off premise catered events including full service and drop off style catering for corporate, non profit, and social clients.
The Director of Sales in collaboration with the sales team is accountable for identifying new business accounts, growing revenue with existing accounts and developing client relationships through outside sales. This position requires a well rounded event and catering sales professional with experience in maximizing revenues and profits and achieving annual sales goals. (full-time positions)
5+ years experience selling and maintaining an event sales portfolio in the NYC metro market combined with managing and leading a team of sales professionals
Bachelor degree or similar experience in off premise event catering sales, wedding planning, production and execution

Ability to discuss finances, budgets, cuisine and beverage offerings with clients and internally among Dish departments
Ability to develop and execute sales plans and strategies in order to meet sales expectations and goals
Flexibility to work a schedule that will include evenings and weekends
Developing, owning and achieving/exceeding annual individual and team sales goals
Proactively solicit and procure new catering accounts through strategic thinking and planning while growing, servicing and maintaining existing accounts
Identify short-term and long-term sales opportunities and support sales team to achieve individual and team goals
Pro-actively research, prospect and solicit new business, with a focus on collaboration with venues and event/wedding planners
Oversee sales team in preparation of all proposals, contracts, BEOs, invoices, and client-facing materials
Motivate the sales team with all of their written, spoken and in person client interactions providing ongoing support and structured feedback
Train and develop a confident, proud and effective sales teams through leading by example, assessing and addressing training needs, and implementing plans for team learning and advancement
Assist in implementing and budgeting of annual marketing plans including planning and attending marketing events and directing social media plan
Coordinate and communicate sales related activities with all department managers as needed
Attend and participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions with the sales team and other departments
Lead and assist the sales team in planning winning client tastings in coordination with the Culinary and Operations teams
Establish and record ongoing SOP’s related to sales process, staffing, production, and execution
